Writer. Journalist. Translator.

My name is Enrica, I’m an independent writer and journalist from Italy based in Boulder, Colorado, and I write about politics, social justice and culture in Italy and the United States. My stories focus on the complex human experience of the subjects involved.

I write at native level in both Italian and English.

Writing is a quest for meaning, whether to understand the impact of a story on its subjects, or in my own life.

I collaborate regularly with a number of Italian publications as a correspondent from the United States. I also author the newsletter Anche una donna qui and co-host the podcast Americanate on politics, culture and society in the United States. Both are in Italian.

My specialty are analyses, commentaries and feature stories on US politics and society, women’s rights, gender equality, immigration, and the oppression of marginalized communities. My words speak truth to power and are grounded in facts and data to build unassailable and logical arguments for change.

As a quest for meaning, my writing seeks depth. It moves from a position of listening and empathy that embraces everyone’s humanity, with the goal of doing it justice.
